About Benign Gynaecological Conditions
Many women develop non-cancerous (benign) growths or conditions in the uterus, ovaries or pelvis during their reproductive years. They can cause pain, heavy bleeding or fertility problems, and although they are not cancer, they can affect quality of life. Correct diagnosis helps choose between observation, medicines and surgery.

Diagnosis and treatment
Diagnosis usually starts with an examination and ultrasound. MRI or other tests may be used in selected cases. Small fibroids or cysts without symptoms can often be observed. Medicines can control bleeding, pain and hormone-related growth. When surgery is needed, minimally invasive options such as laparoscopy are used wherever suitable, which generally means smaller cuts, less pain and quicker recovery. If fertility is a goal, the plan is designed to protect it.
Follow-up
Regular check-ups ensure that the condition remains under control and that treatment can be adjusted. Please tell your doctor about any new symptoms.
